SPID is the authentication system that enables citizens and businesses to access online public administration services with a single digital identity. Its purpose is to facilitate the use of online services and simplify the relationship between citizens and public offices.

Those who do not have a Tax Code can request one through the Fast-It portal (link to Tax Code).
Parents can request SPID for their minor children who need access to school digital services or other specific online services , in accordance with the procedures established by the official guidelines and digital identity providers.
Foreign Nationals residing in Italy who are holders of the necessary Italian documents (Electronic Identity Card and Fiscal Code) may also apply for SPID.
