Consular services are provided according to principles of equality, impartiality, efficiency and transparency. The Consulates ensure that all compatriots are protected in the event of violation of their fundamental rights and limitation or deprivation of their personal freedom. They also ensure assistance for emergency cases, for the search for family members, for succession procedures opened abroad and for the repatriation of remains.
