The regulations for the election of members of the European Parliament provide for voting only in Italy and EU countries.
Italian voters registered with AIRE and residing in states that are not members of the European Union may vote only by returning to Italy.
The aforesaid voters shall be sent, by the municipalities of electoral registration, a notice bearing an indication of the date of voting and where to pick up the electoral certificate at the appropriate Municipal office. The official notice from the Municipality entitles the holder to take advantage of travel facilities within the national territory to travel to the municipality of electoral registration to vote.
