Visa processing requires a minimum of 15 days from the date of submission of application with complete supporting documents.
Please book your visa appointment well in advance, as appointment waiting times are very long.

FOR ZAMBIAN CITIZENS AND FOREIGN NATIONALS RESIDING IN ZAMBIA
The visa application must be submitted to the Visa Office of the Embassy of Italy in Lusaka on the day of the appointment. Every visa applicant must be present at the time of the interview.
FOR MALAWIAN CITIZENS AND FOREIGN NATIONALS RESIDING IN MALAWI
For Schengen visa applications only (up to 90 days): Since September 1st, 2025, Malawian citizens and foreign nationals residing in Malawi can submit their visa applications at the VFS office of the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Lilongwe.
