From 24 to 26 March 2021, the Italian Embassy in Lusaka organizes the Festival: “TRASH. A better future is yet to come, let’s prepare it! “.
The initiative goal is promoting awareness about the challenges and the opportunities of the problem of waste management, to be handled in a far-sighted and responsible way.
The webinar is open to public (with particular attention to children and young people), to the Zambian institutions and to the local business system.
On 24th March, The Webinar will see the participation of delegates from the Ministry of Local Policies, the “Zambia Environmental Management Agency”, the European Union and the United Nations Development Program. The day would represent an opportunity, for the attending Italian companies, to showcase their best practices to Zambian institutional decision-makers.
On 25th March, the afternoon will be dedicated to the little ones thanks to the entertainment of a local NGO, with activities dedicated to the art of recycling. After, the children are invited to watch the animated film “TRASH” (2020, by Francesco Dafano and Luca Della Grotta).
