The third edition of the “Let’s move together” event was held at the East Park Mall in Lusaka on September 22nd and 23rd, a charity event organized by the Embassy of Italy for Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) and Italian Religious Congregations operating in Zambia.
During the two days, the NGOs and religious groups present at the event showed the local community their activities, projects in colorful stands, sold their products and guaranteed entertainment with dances, songs and performances typical of the local culture.
The Embassy, in addition to providing for the overall management of the event, has organized a charitable lottery with rich prizes donated by the partners and supporters of the event to promote the fundraising and at the end of the event; the entire proceeds will then be distributed to the NGOs and religious bodies participating in the event.
At the end of the first day, all the employees, volunteers and religious present at the weekend fair, were invited to the Italian Residence where a thank-you reception was held for the activity and commitment aimed at the development and promotion of the most vulnerable of the Zambian population.
The balance of the event, for the third consecutive year, appears to be positive overall, confirming itself as an indispensable moment of encounter between the two communities and as a useful tool for enhancing the valuable work done by the organizations of Italian civil society.
