The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) offers grants in favor of foreign citizens in Italy and Italian citizens living abroad (IRE) for the academic year 2022-2023 in order to foster international cooperation in cultural, scientific and technological fields, to promote Italian language and culture and to support Italy\u2019s economic system in the world.<\/p>\n
The scholarships – each consisting of 3, 6 or 9 months and renewable for the following academic year in the case of student enrollment in multi-year courses – can be used starting from 1 November 2022 and by 31 October 2023.<\/p>\n
They can be awarded exclusively for master’s degrees, courses of higher artistic, musical (AFAM), research doctorates, study projects in co-supervision, and advanced courses in Italian language and culture.\u00a0Therefore, courses not mentioned above are excluded, including, inter alia, the annual or two-year Masters of first and second level, three-year degrees (except at AFAM institutions), single-cycle degree courses, specialization courses lasting one year.<\/p>\n
