The global initiative \u201cYouth4Climate (Y4C)\u201d, co-led by the Government of Italy and UNDP (United Nations Development Programme) was launched during the 2021 Pre-COP in Milan and aims for the active participation of the youth in negotiations and solution-finding to tackle climate change. Y4C brings together existing and new online and offline resources, tools, capacities, partnerships, networks and movements by and for youth.<\/p>\n
Y4C has launched a \u201ccall for solutions\u201d \u2013 which will be open until the 26th of May 2024 – inviting young people between the ages of 18 and 29 years to submit project proposals in the following five areas:<\/p>\n
– Climate and Environmental Literacy<\/p>\n
– Sustainable Energy<\/p>\n
– Food and Agriculture<\/p>\n
– Nature Assets<\/p>\n
– Sustainable Consumption and Production<\/p>\n
Successful applicants will be awarded:<\/p>\n
– up to US$ 30,000 to implement or scale the proposed innovations;<\/p>\n
– the possibility to\u00a0access technical support to strengthen their capacity on<\/p>\n
specific topics;<\/p>\n
– the support from a mentor to develop their proposal;<\/p>\n
– storytelling opportunities during next events of the Youth4Climate<\/p>\n
initiative and through the Youth4Climate Platform and Website of UNDP<\/p>\n
and its partners.<\/p>\n
