Africa program
With a series of initiatives called the Africa Program, SACE has expanded its operations in the sub-Saharan region to allow companies and banks to invest safely in an area that is growing but still subject to high risks. The "institutional mission" is to strengthen the system of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) through the development of operational strategies that allow for better insurance coverage of the risk.
In order to intervene in support of medium / long-term projects for the infrastructural strengthening of the continent, SACE has abolished the time limits for the duration of loans in Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Djibouti, Kenya, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mozambique, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Congo. The opening of a SACE office in Johannesburg, representing all of sub-Saharan Africa, was another indication of the interest of the Italian "Export Credit Agency" (ECA) in the "business" prospects in this area. geographic.
