Market opportunities

The politically stable climate and the availability of water (although recently reduced due to climate change) make the country rich in potential for agricultural activities, in particular animal breeding, production of milk and dairy products, rice growing, cereals, as well as the production of fruit and vegetables. The entire processing sector requires investments, as well as the logistics network. The geographical position of Zambia, bordering eight countries, makes it particularly suitable for export activities.
The development of the energy sector - especially based on renewable sources - is becoming increasingly important in Zambia. The country is affected by the climatic environment and is faced with poor rain seasons which considerably reduce the country's ability to generate electricity (80% of production is from water sources).
With 20 natural parks and a diverse wild life, Zambia continues to offer significant development opportunities in the tourism sector.
