The Italian Embassy is proud to invite you to participate in a Cultural Event a Project called “Italy-Zambia, building an Art Bridge”, organized in collaboration with ZICC. The first item on the Programme will be “ART AND ENERGY” event with special participation remarks by COMESA Secretariat which will help us to connect economics and politics aspects to the art expression.
The Webinar discussion: Professor Costantino D’Orazio, an art historian and curator, will present a conversation with the Italian Artist Matteo Montani a prominent contemporary artist whose artwork deals with the energy of matter.
The Lechwe Art Gallery with a noticeable group of artists, will illustrate their own interpretation of Art and Energy through artists’ slide lecture presentation by Dr. Andrew Mulenga, an art historian and lecturer at Zambian Open University.
In addition, during the Webinar discussion the Lechwe Trust and Art Gallery will exhibit artworks that speak to this theme curated by William Bwalya Miko. The display will last until 20th June at the Zambian Italian Cultural Centre.
