Cinque Terre Summer School

The Director of the Cinque Terre Summer School is pleased to inform that his summer school of Italian language and culture, offers for the summer 2018 five scholarships reserved to the students of the Italian institutes of culture and the committees of the Dante Society Alighieri. The scholarships, granted to those enrolling in the August edition of the summer school, cover 100% (two scholarships) or 50% (three scholarships) of the tuition fee for the three weeks of the course and are applicable to any rate (standard, under 35, students / teachers).

In order to contribute to the assignment, the students must submit an application for participation through the Italian cultural institutes (or alternatively the cultural offices operating at embassies and consulates) or the Dante committees, who will communicate the names and CVs to the school secretariat. applicants, who in turn must simultaneously pre-register by filling out the appropriate form on their site. In the allocation of the scholarships both the chronological priority and the geographical origin will be taken into account.

The Director reminds that, in addition to scholarships, the School offers unlimited discounts for young people (about 16%) and for university students and teachers of Italian to foreigners (about 33%).

The training program of the Cinque Terre Summer School is based on three cornerstones: language, culture and territory. In addition to the traditional courses of Italian language and culture, the discovery of the landscape and culture of the Cinque Terre, national park and world heritage of humanity, is an exceptional learning environment able to allow a total immersion experience, thanks to a peculiar microcosm where the school expands in the territory and the whole community becomes a school.

The Summer School is organized by the Rimazùu cultural association in collaboration with the Genoa Committee of the Dante Alighieri Society and under the patronage of the Municipality of Riomaggiore. As an activity of a non-profit organization, it is non-profit-making. Scientific Supervisor and Teacher of the school is Francesco De Nicola, president of the Genoa Committee of Dante Alighieri and founder of the School of Italian Language and Culture for Foreign Students of the University of Genoa.
