The 2018 Annual General Meeting of the EU-Zambia Business Club (EUZBC) took place on the 8th of February at the Radisson Blu Hotel of Lusaka. It is the first Annual General Meeting as a formal association. The main purpose of the meeting has beens to elect the Board of the EUZBC, but other points have also been focused on:
· taking stock of the 2017 achievements – Interim President;
· presentation of the EU External Investment Plan – EU Delegation;
· presentation of the candidates and election the Board;
· discussing the work plan for 2018;
· presentation of the EU External Investment Plan.
The Board will be jointly responsible for driving the activities of the EUZBC.
During the meeting the Ambassador of Italy held talks with Mr Henk Gezienus Mulder, Executive Director of Zambia National Commercial Bank, who for over a year has run ZANACO, the bank that in Zambia has been, amongst other things, more dedicated to finance agriculture initiatives. He has gathered experience in different countries as manager of cooperation bank centered in promoting small and medium enterprise development.
