INTERNATIONAL DIALOGUE FORUM “STARTING FROM GIRLS. WOMEN FORUM ON INEQUALITY AND SUSTAINABLE GROWTH” (Rome, April 7-8)

On 7 and 8 April 2017, the Farnesina will host "Starting from girls. Women Forum on inequality and sustainable growth", an International Dialogue Forum. The forum is organized as part of the Italian G7 Presidency activities in cooperation with WE-Women Empower the World, the Aspen Initiative for Europe, and Valore D.

"Strengthening young women's rights and abilities is an essential condition to have them become true agents of change. The gender gap must be bridged if we want to guarantee inclusive growth and development, in line with the priorities set out by the Italian G7 Presidency," said the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Angelino Alfano.

Hon. Emerine Kabanshi, Minister for Community Development and Health of Mothers and Children, will represent Zambia at the Forum. The Minister's program includes a meeting with the Deputy Foreign Minister Mario Giro and a meeting with the major networks of Italian NGOs.
